BUSH TELLS U.N. "GIVE ME A WAR LIKE YOU GAVE DADDY" Pentagon, NSA, Plan Incident To Trigger War Homeland H.Q. (formerly Wasington D.C.) - (GNS) - President Bush pressed his case for war across the globe yesterday, repeating what he told the U.N. Security Council earlier this week: "Give me a war like you gave Daddy." The international community was still split on whether or not war would be a good idea. Turkey kept insisting the cost to use their country for military invasion operations was $30 billion. U.S. officials said that although the war was necessary to rid the world of an aggressor worse than Hitler, the price was too high. This price cap stunned many war supporters. "How can the price for liberation, salvation, victory and all that stuff be too high?" asked a coalition of war supporters that included Joe Lieberman and Dick Cheney. At his estate in New Hampshire, George Bush The Elder said he was tickled that his son wanted a war just like the one he had, but urged everyone to "do it for the right reasons, oil, and to restore democracy to Kuwait, and not just for me." Meanwhile, Pentagon war planners are mapping out scenarios similar to the Vietnam era Operation Plan 34-A, a series of incidents that would lead the American people to believe that Iraq had actually started the war. NSA Director Condosleezy Rice was supervising the planning. "We're going to hold our fire til we see the whites of their eyes. But we mean to start a war, so we'll start it here," she said. |
